The politics of male!Sherlock using and walking all over Molly—with rare moments of common decency that are supposed to make it all okay?—make me want to wrap my hands around his throat and squeeze. But if you take the male privilege and heteronormativity out of the picture, Molly’s crush is way more sympathetic because it’s not being used as an object lesson in sexism. It’s just… a sweet, shy queer girl with stars in her eyes over an assertive, toppy, whoa smart woman.

Gay!Molly would probably faint dead away if she ever met Irene. LOL

How would Sherlock being a girl make Molly’s crush on someone who treats her like shit cute rather than pitiable? Shouldn’t she like someone who treats her with respect no matter the gender? Confused.
